CE and UKCA marking
CE marking
The CE mark certifies that a product complies with the requirements of the applicable European directives and regulations governing its use. These may include regulations related to pressure vessels, toy safety, construction products, electrical equipment, and other product categories. Products bearing the CE mark may be freely distributed within the European Union.
Applied to Norres Baggerman hose systems, the following applies:
- In accordance with the definition of the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, our products fall neither under the definition of machinery nor under the definition of a safety component. Furthermore, they are generally not products within the meaning of other regulations requiring CE marking, such as the Low Voltage Directive, the EMC Directive, or the Medical Device Regulation, etc.
- Products that do not fall within the scope of applicable EC directives listed above must not be provided with CE marking. Consequently, we are also not permitted to issue a declaration of conformity, i.e., a manufacturer’s declaration.
- Hose assemblies that fall under the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU may be affected by CE marking requirements. However, this must be assessed for each individual application, as it depends on the operating conditions.
Since the operating conditions at the user’s site are outside our sphere of influence and the design variety is too extensive, no guarantee can be given for the accuracy of the information.
UKCA marking
UKCA marking, UK Conformity Assessed, is the British conformity mark for certain products placed on the market in England, Wales, and Scotland. It was introduced following the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union and replaces European CE marking in various product areas. However, CE marking continues to be recognized for some product groups. The applicable requirements depend on the relevant British legislation. Due to special regulatory arrangements, European CE rules continue to apply in part to Northern Ireland. In certain cases, UKNI marking may also be required.
Subject to technical modifications.
