1889
- Founding of NORRES in Gelsenkirchen (Germany) as a manufacturer of electric detonators for mining.
1950s – 1960s
- Discontinuation of detonator production and start of technical hose manufacturing
- Invention of the WELLFLEX® design
- Development of the cable protection range
- Establishment of an in-house sales force
1970s–1990s
- Invention of AIRDUC® profile hoses
- Development of CP hoses
- Market launch of PROTAPE® film hoses
- ISO 9001 certification – among the first hose manufacturers in Germany to achieve this distinction
2000s
- Innovations:
- Partial coloring of hoses, rectangular hoses, permanently conductive hoses, patenting of welded extrusion for AIRDUC® and PROTAPE®, market launch of Pre-PUR®, certification according to TRGS 727
- Globalisation:
- Establishment of branches and production sites in China, the USA, Eastern Europe, Sweden and the UK
- Awards:
- Including “Supplier of the Year” (2007 and 2013) by VTH e.V., the “Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Businesses” (2011 and 2013), the German Brand Award (2018), the TOP JOB Seal, the Industry Award (2018), and TOP 100 (2018). Also included in the World Market Leader Index

- Majority stake acquired by private equity firm Triton
2020
- Acquisition of Italian hose manufacturer and distributor De Bernardi
2021
- Acquisition of the Dutch Baggerman Group, manufacturer and distributor of industrial hoses, couplings and accessories
- Formation of the Norres Baggerman Group with a unique product range in PE, PU, PVC and rubber, including connection systems
